A bit about me
I have studied and practised fine art for many years and understand how important it is that the design of a frame package is absolutely right. It is imperative that you, as my client, are completely happy with the frame package.
I built and ran my own framing business in Portsmouth for 12 years before moving to the beautiful Isle of Wight just over two years ago.
Previous to that, I was a teacher of art, design and graphics.
My goal is to provide exceptional framing services that will embellish and extend the lifespan of all types of artwork.
What I do
I offer expert advice on the various materials available and their appropriateness to the job at hand. I will advise on colour, scale and style while helping you to understand the different levels of conservation.
I reserve the right to do extensive research as I see fit around works of art brought to me to ensure that the processes and techniques I use are the best suited to the particular piece. I further reserve the right to refuse to carry out work that is of a substandard nature without the written consent of the client accepting that this is not best practice, that damage may be caused to the item if not treated appropriately and that in such cases the aesthetic quality of the piece may not always be maintained.
